Help us help you: know your own whereabouts on campus

Many departments have arranged for telecommuting assignments for staff and we know that many offices also have rotating schedules for telecommuting and on-campus presence for employees called upon to support critical business functions that can’t be done fully remotely.  Our faculty are providing instruction remotely.  In these ways our college has responded to the call to reduce density which helps to slow the spread of the virus.  Thank you all for your vigilance and efforts.

It is important that we remain just as committed to taking personal responsibility for our travels and contacts during this time.  Employees may still travel to campus to pick up mail or other materials from offices or to do work in office spaces.

Employees are asked to keep a log of dates when they have visited campus and if they were in contact with others on campus during that visit. 

This information could prove useful if and when we learn of positive cases among our employee or student populations. Keeping this information in real time rather than trying to recall at a later time would greatly improve our ability to provide timely follow-up and support to our community.  Employees would be asked to provide information from this log only in the event they themselves are positive or to assist in tracking contacts in the event of a positive case.

We remind you to continue to observe social distancing practices, to wash your hands frequently especially after touching commonly touched surfaces such as door handles, elevator buttons, counters/desk, and car door handles etc.  Also, where possible, wipe down your own personal work spaces before and after use.
