WFNP, the official radio station of SUNY New Paltz, operates out of the Student Union Building, room 423.

Station Services Include:

Edge News (Mon-Fri 7-7:30pm)

Local news reports along with sports, weather, and entertainment, as well as headlines from around the world.

Talk Shows (Mon-Fri 7:30-8pm)

Live and pre-recorded shows discussing current events, entertainment, politics, and sports.

Public Service Announcements (air hourly on WFNP)

Bringing local messages and national campaigns via non-profit organizations.

Music Shows (daily)

Hosted by SUNY New Paltz students, each WFNP DJ creates playlists and hosts a weekly music based radio show between one and two hours in length.  Check out our current show schedule here.

Getting Involved

The WFNP Departments are always looking for assistance, no experience needed!

News Department:
Contributors help read news on the WFNP Broadcast Mon-Fri at 7pm on 88.7 FM. Good for gaining experience in live reads of breaking news from the Hudson Valley and beyond. If interested, please arrive at SUB 413 by no later than 6:20 PM on any weekday.

Music Department:
Contributors assist in listening, as well as reviewing music that will be put into our rotation. Looking for students with a wide variety of tastes and knowledge of several music genres. If interested, please e-mail our Music Director, Emma Phillipas at wfnp.music@hawkmail.newpaltz.edu.

Production Department:
Contributors help produce original promotional and creative content for WFNP The Edge. Duties include assisting during recordings, as well as drafting ideas for new drops and sweeps/PSA’s. If interested, contact our Production Director, Taevon Allen at wfnp.production@gmail.com
