Artist: A Place to Bury Strangers
A Place to Bury Strangers’ fourth studio effort truly packs a noisy punch from the isolated teenager in the corner, right in your face on a winter’s day. It’s like the band said hey, “Let’s continue to get as noisy as possible!” We here at The Edge are static fanatics so you know were going to be excited when we heard of this albums release. We were not disappointed from the walls of sound to the lead singers reverbed wails about how he “will die.” Transfixiation calls to mind the works of shoegaze greats like Skywave and post-punk pioneers like Joy Division, while also screaming along with modern bands like Lighting Bolt and Eat Skull. This album is the soundtrack of a nervous breakdown and we here at the edge love it. We are on “edge” on how good it is. I’m sorry but seriously listen to this.
