Brand New Station Manager, Congrats to Emma Corey

Monday, November 15th, 2010

In the Spring of 2009 a quiet freshman joined the ranks of WFNP.  She had joined the station because of her love of music and one of her friends was also a DJ on The Edge.  After enjoying a few semesters on the air she had decided to apply for the secretary position on the radio e-board.  This is where Emma got her first taste of the e-board side of the radio as she got the job.  During her time as secretary, Emma got to know the ins and outs of the radio station as well as attaining a great respect for the station.  Now, Emma has been hired as the new station manager for WFNP.  With her knowledge and respect for the station she should make a great station manager.  So if you see her, congratulate her.  HOOOOORAY!!!!!  Congratulations Emma!!!!!

WELCOME TO FM KATIE!!!!!!!!

Monday, November 1st, 2010

Hello All You Wonderful People,

We here at the Edge would like to welcome our newest FM DJ, Katie Chirichillo.  I had asked Katie to give a short bio of herself, so without further a due, HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE’S KATIE!!!!

I’m Katie, an this is my third year on WFNP The Edge, and needless to say, I am super stoked to finally be taking over the FM airwaves with my show, YO, GET INTO IT! (Tuesdays 10-midnight)!  I am an art major, so in addition to art, music is also an important part of my life.  I spend many of my weekends traveling and going to shows and concerts thus allowing me to network with bands and fans alike, resulting in so many musically-based friendships…and I wouldn’t have it any other way!  I often play music on my radio show from bands that I have seen live, or am going to see live in the future.  My favorite genres include pop-punk, punk, melodic hardcore, hardcore and anything that falls in between–anything fast, catchy, and melodic that can put me in a good mood with the right amount of emotion.  So needless to say…YO, GET INTO IT!

Please tune in to Katie’s show and all the shows here on the Edge and you can always let us know what you think here on the blog, on our facebook fan page, WFNP The Edge, or our Twitter @WFNP.
